I am an Assistant Professor of Political Science
at Universidad Diego Portales where I teach research methods.

My current research focuses on developing methods for statistical inference with qualitative data, particularly in the context of process tracing. This work seeks to provide frameworks that reduce the risk of Type I errors when drawing conclusions from limited and non-standardized evidence.

My research also addresses how elites' reactions to the externalities of inequality impact redistributive policies and democratic governance, with a regional focus on Latin America and South Africa.
Beyond UDP, I am affiliated with the
Albert Hirschman Centre on Democracy at the
Geneva Graduate Institute,
and a superb cook.
