I am an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Universidad Diego Portales, and affiliated with the
Albert Hirschman Centre on Democracy in
the Geneva Graduate Institute.

My research addresses: democratic survival in contexts of high inequality; how elites' perceptions of and reactions to the externalities of inequality affect distributive outcomes; and the politics of land reform, with focus on Latin America and South Africa.

In methodology I study ways of integrating probability theory in small-n and case studies.
I am also a superb cook.
